I am a long-time executive (over 25 years!) in the CPG, Retail, and Information industries. I am passionate about these industries - with so many changes and opportunities, this is a great space in which to be. I run a consulting group, Panther Mountain Companies, LLC, which I named for a mountain in Western South Carolina where I spend a bit of time when I can. We specialize in helping companies (new and old) bring technologies and services to bear in the CPG and retail (online or off) space.
Executives often tell me they wish they could clone some of their most innovative and productive associates so that fresh energy and thinking can be continuously brought to bear on opportunities. If they had that fresh energy and thinking they would apply it to:
- Finding/exploiting new or untapped markets.
- Finding a new channel.
- Repositioning a usage.
- Look at production alternatives and possibilities inside and outside the company.
- Look at minor service modifications that might open new marekts.
- Look at partnerships, acquisitions or combinations that could boster chances of success.
